The AndieMac Story
Co-owners Michael and Linda Chory started dating in college. When Michael started taking side jobs doing architectural drafting, the couple decided they should name the company. Michael sometimes called Linda “Andie” after her last name and Michael’s initials were M.A.C., so they combined them to form AndieMac. When they started their own business years later as husband and wife, using the AndieMac name again made perfect sense.

Michael Chory, COO
After earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education at California University of Pennsylvania, Michael completed his doctorate in industrial technology/industrial arts with a minor in civil engineering. While pursuing his PhD, he saw a job posting for a national waterproofing company and decided to apply.
Michael gained valuable experience while completing his coursework and teaching architectural drafting and design illustrating as a grad student. He considers himself fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn installation and applications processes while working hands-on in the field.
Linda Chory, CEO
Linda Chory, the “Andie” in AndieMac, manages the business side of the company. While Michael oversees the day-to-day operations of AndieMac, Linda works behind the scenes on everything from financials to employee evaluations and profit sharing.
Linda brings a diverse background to AndieMac. After earning her bachelor’s degree in urban planning from the University of Maryland, she excelled in retail management and customer service and worked in the medical field as an ultrasonographer after earning the Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credential. In her free time, she loves going to the beach, playing pickle ball with her son, exercising, riding her bicycle, and baking with her daughter.
